He has never canonically lost to Fulgore, although there are several endings where he does. They are Machine Morph, Turret Morph, Terminator and Laser Site, and each one is quite over the top.īoomstick: You got that right! Laser Site is execution by laser barrage, Turret Morph involves Fulgore removing his head and exposing a giant turret that fills opponents with lead, and Terminator outright annihilates targets with a powerful blast! But the most outlandish one of all is the Machine Morph, where Fulgore becomes a giant and guns targets down!! Fulgore is like a walking, one man militia, and with a weight of 560 pounds, he’s pretty heavy, too! You’d have to be pretty reckless to pick a fight with him! Think of them as overly elaborate finishing blows, and Fulgore has access to four of them. Once he uses the Devastation Beam, his defenses take a nosedive. III different is the reactor deep within Fulgore’s body.īoomstick: This thing fires a powerful laser called the Devastation Beam when it gets fully charged and it really lives up to its name! The Devastation Beam can be powerful enough to reduce any enemy to cinders! But, there’s a catch. These new and old moves include the Reflector, a teleporting move called Cyber Port, Cyber Dash, a ranged attack called Eye Laser and a cloaking device for good measure. III also has a few other moves that previous versions used as well along with some new ones. Wiz: Of course, all versions of Fulgore featured these weapons. III design, and this one comes with some dangerous weapons not featured in the previous designs.īoomstick: This guy has bladed arms called Plasma Claws that fire energy waves called Plasma Storm at people, among other things. Fulgore went through multiple iterations, culminating with the mk. He had become a cyborg in the loosest sense of the word, being almost entirely robotic except for his brainwaves.īoomstick: Yup, and even with that, Jago just kept on trashing him. Wiz: Indeed, and with Fulgore now working as he should, he was now ready for orders. With this in mind, the candidate had soon become self evident.īoomstick: They used Eagle’s brainwaves to make Fulgore! Wiz: It just so happened that one of the combatants of Ultratech’s Killer Instinct tournaments, Eagle, was causing trouble for the megacorporation. That’s when Ultratech began utilizing more unusual methods to give Fulgore the computing power he needed to serve ARIA, Ultratech’s CEO.īoomstick: They went from making a killer robot to making a killer cyborg! But then came choosing who would be the best candidate for the job of becoming Fulgore.
Already an impressive invention, Fulgore lacked a proper computing device that would work with it. Fulgore was going to be one of the most advanced creations Ultratech ever produced, and it was entirely by happenstance. But Fulgore wasn’t going to be like Kilgore. Originally, Ultratech created the Kilgores, but their design flaws, such as an unreliable teleportation device, made them unfit for service. However, the one that almost everyone remembers is Ultratech’s mechanical rival of Jago, Fulgore.īoomstick: Ooh boy, this is gonna be good! I’ve been anticipating covering Killer Instinct again for quite some time!
Wiz: Ultratech has no shortage of powerful enforcers, from the biomechanical Riptor to the genetically altered Cinder, both of whom are already highly memorable combatants on their own. Wiz: In the universe of Killer Instinct, the villainous megacorporation called Ultratech reigns supreme.īoomstick: I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again! They are Evil Walmart! Wiz: And it’s our job to analyze their armor, weapons and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle! Wiz: There’s Fulgore, killer cyborg and servant of Ultratech.īoomstick: And there’s Prototype, member of Ultraforce and enemy of Ultra-Tech. Wiz: Evil corporations are a common, maybe even overdone trope in fiction, but things get interesting when they share a similar name.īoomstick: And when it comes to what they make, the results speak for themselves! Only one is better at it, though… Introduction Be it a suit or a cyborg, Ultratech and Ultra-Tech make powerful weapons. These two have connections to this corporate evil, and while one serves it, the other opposes it. What does the name “Ultratech” evoke? How about if you add a hyphen? Regardless of which one it is, the name embodies corruption, destruction and evil.
